I love makeup samples because they give you a chance to test a product out so that you know if you really like it before spending money on the full sized version. Here are two make-up samples I have been trying and my thoughts on them:
M.A.C In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash Mascara: I love this mascara, it separates my lashes and gives them a bit of length. It also gives them some volume but not in a massive way which I actually like sometimes. The only thing I don’t love about this mascara is that it doesn’t seem to be waterproof because it tends to smudge a bit on me which I don’t love. I got this mascara for free when I purchased a few eyeshadows from the M.A.C. website but the full size is R300.00
Benefit They’re Real Push Up Liner: I love eyeliner and I wanted to try one from a good brand hence I went for this one. The consistency and the angle at which the product comes out of the tube makes it a bit easier for me to get a clean line and to place the product where I want it. It don’t end up getting it everywhere because it’s not a liquid liner (I’m not that good yet). I do love this liner but I do not like the packaging. You have to twist the bottom of the tube for the product to come out the top but it just takes too long for it to come out and I end up twisting it too many times and too much product comes out. This makes it not worth using because it delays me soo much so I will not be purchasing the full size of this product. I bought this sample size for about R145.00 at the Benefit section at the Edgar’s store in Menlyn Mall.
