If you have read my blog, you might know how much I love concealers. You can imagine how excited I was when the Maybelline Fit Me Concealers recently came to South Africa. I purchased the shades 55 to conceal and 50 to highlight. Shade 55 is not a concealer shade for me because it is a bit light on my skin tone and it gives me a bit more of a highlighted look, though not substantially. I still do use it because it does not look too light but I only use it under my eyes and around my mouth. This concealer has a somewhat light consistency and it gives more of a medium coverage. I have to apply it and let it set in order to improve the coverage but it is still not enough coverage for me but it does not look terrible. This might also be because it is not dark enough for me and if you apply a light shade on dark marks it will accentuate them if they are not concealed properly first. Shade 50 is a beautiful highlight shade for my skin tone because of the yellow undertone that it has. It also works well to clean up or define my eyebrows as well as when I am doing a cut-crease eyeshadow look.
I am not sure how many shades this concealer comes in here in South Africa because I cannot find any information on it online and the Discherm store that I went to did not seem to have all of the shades. Shade 55 is the darkest shade that I found at the Discherm store that I went to and I hope it is not the darkest shade that they have because darker skin tones will definitely need a darker shade than it. This concealer does not crease excessively which is good. It lasts well throughout the day as well. I love the packaging of this concealer, it looks really slick even though it is made of plastic. I do not tend to use drugstore concealers because the ones I have used did not work for me but this one has impressed me and I definitely recommend it, especially because of how affordable it is.
Have you tried the new Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and what are your thoughts on it?
