It has taken me a while to put together a skincare routine that works for me. I have blemish prone oily skin and here are the products that have helped me to treat it:
I wear makeup on most days and the Nivea Perfect and Radiant Micellar Water and Cleansing Wipes (see review here) are, well, perfect at removing my make-up while still being very gentle on the skin. I then follow with the L’Oreal Pure Clay Detox Wash (see review here) which is my favorite cleanser so far which is amazing considering how affordable it is. It thoroughly cleanses my skin which is really important especially after a full day of wearing makeup. I use this cleanser in the mornings and in the evenings. I also like to use the Sorbet Rechargeable Facial Cleanser or the The Body Shop Facial Brush with my cleansers to ensure that my skin is thoroughly cleansed. To exfoliate my skin, which I do in the evenings, I use the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant (see review here). It gently removed dead skin cells and leaves my skin feeling smooth. This is a must have in my evening skincare routine. I purchased the travel size version and it has lasted me a long while.
I do not currently have a face mask but the Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment Mask (see review here) remains a favorite in my skincare routine. It does a great job at clearing out my pores. I do not mask everyday and I like to do in the evenings when I do. I recently purchased the Bobbi Brown Skin Wrinkle Treatment which I use in the mornings and in the evenings. It is said to instantly fills in surface lines, stimulate natural collagen production and visibly plumps wrinkles. I will write a review on it after I have tested it out. Next in line is the Clarins Eye Contour Gel (see review here) which has been good at making my under-eye circles less visible and it lso minimizes puffiness. My favorite drugstore moisturizer is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel (see review here) and it is perfect for my oily skin. It is hydrating while assisting in minimizing oil. I use this moisturizer in the mornings and in the evenings. I apply the Hoelson Sisters Coconut Face Oil in the mornings which also helps to lock in hydration. It is enriched with tea tree and cinnamon to help tone and clarify the skin, amongst other benefits. I also love the Lipidol overnight Oil for the evenings. A Sun Protect Factor (SPF) is a must have in my morning skincare routine and my favorite one is the Eucerin Anti-Age Sun Fluid SPF 50 (see review here). It is lightweight and it does not make my skin oily. It provides an amazing amount of sun protection and it also boosts the skin’s own ability to retain moisture and it plumps the skin from the inside out.
There are a few other products that I feel my skincare routine still needs and I will update you on them when the time comes.
