I recently purchased 2 scrubs to serve different purposes. The first one is the L’Oreal Smooth Sugars Clear Scrub which I was eagerly waiting for to be released in SA and I have been using it for the past 2 weeks. This Scrub has 3 fine sugars and kiwi seeds to polish the skin and remove blackheads. It can also be used on the lips which is great. I apply a thin layer of it with dry fingers on cleansed skin, then I wet my fingers with warm water and massage it until the sugars melt. I then rinse it off with warm water and apply a serum. It heats up on application which is fun but it also helps to dilate pores in order to help eject impurities. This Scrub is suitable for all skin types. I really love skincare from L’Oreal and this Scrub is really good. The packaging of their products is soo stunning (which of course is very important too, right? lol).
Woolworths has released a range of cruelty-free skincare which is made from natural ingredients and I just had to pick up at least one product from it. I have been testing out the Lemon Verbena Sugar Hand Scrub from the range. I have never used a hand scrub before so I am really excited to have this one in my skincare routine. It has walnut shell powder to buff away dead skin and it also has yoghurt extract to condition. It is quite gritty which takes some getting used to because, like I said, I have never really used a hand scrub before. It is nourishing as well because of the yoghurt that is in it. It foams up a bit and acts as a bit of a wash too but it is best to wash your hands with a hand soap first before using it. The lemon verbena in it gives it a lovely earthy smell and the packaging is beautiful. I use this Hand Scrub a couple of times a week at night before going to bed as a treat to my hard working hands.
Have you tried any of these scrubs?
